John Fiala gave a planned presentation on upgrading modules from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6 which was extremely informative. His presentation is attached to this post.

In addition we had an attendee suggest an overview of the Node Carousel module and how to implement carousels on a site. We performed some quick hacks to our Drupal 6 "elephant" site and John walked the audience through the usage of Node Carousel on D6.

I particularly enjoyed these presentations because one was technical while the other functional. It was a good attempt at addressing the attendees that were new to Drupal in addition to the regulars. Hopefully, everyone walked away with something useful.

Al Steffen was able to give a quick introduction to the hunchbaque theme and outline a few of the niftier tricks he has implemented there. Overall, this was an information packed gathering.

We would like to keep up this momentum and are working at increasing the quality of the content being provided ... but we need your help. We need your feedback so that we know how to adjust the meeting formats for your enjoyment and education.
